Recently, Casi's CEO and Co-Founder, Hans Kristian Aas, and COO, Joel Sundström, attended Fleet Europe Summit in Dublin; This event is undoubtedly one of the best conferences for OEMs, leasing players, and fleet owners. By 2030 the participants at the conference will order approximately 100 million cars!
Sometimes you can ask yourself when the car subscription adoption will REALLY kick in. After this conference, we can confidently say that the whole industry believes it will come - and when it comes, it will be big.
Here are our highlights from the conference:
1. A tradition at this conference is to have a panel with the CEOs of the leading multi-brand leasing companies worldwide. This year the CEOs of ALD Automotive, LeasePlan, Arval BNP Paribas Group, Athlon International, and Alphabet International were on stage. Together, these players have 5-10m cars in their fleets. The panel addressed the shortage of cars, increasing focus on flexibility, car subscription, and electrification.
2. Gender is not balanced in the Fleet Industry. Annie PIN, the CCO of ALD, called attention to this as she held the first Women in Fleet breakfast and shined on stage on several occasions. It was refreshing to hear equality discussed at a fleet conference, and next year we hope Casi's own Ane Furu gets to share her knowledge on stage as well!
3️. Uncertainty is the new normal. Therefore, fleet owners should think much more about renewals and the life cycle of each vehicle, rethink terms and conditions, balance long duration and flexibility, and try out new car brands and models to have more choices.
