Bergen, Norway (November 26th, 2024) Casi, an award-winning flexible fleet software platform, has announced today that it is expanding its partnership with Hyundai Connected Mobility, providing the technology needed to launch its MOCEAN Subscription service in Germany. MOCEAN will now offer both businesses and consumers flexible, all-inclusive vehicle subscriptions in Europe’s largest automotive market.
With most new car sales in Europe stemming from corporate fleets, Casi’s technology enables Hyundai Connected Mobility’s MOCEAN Subscription service to bring flexible, all-inclusive vehicle subscriptions for businesses in Germany. The business market is particularly important, as 58% of new cars sold in Europe end up in corporate fleets.
Hyundai Motor Europe launched Hyundai Connected Mobility to lead the way in innovative mobility. Powered by Casi’s technology, Hyundai has been offering flexible car subscription services to customers in several markets. Now, this service will be expanded to the German market. But new to the market this time is that MOCEAN will also offer corporate customers the opportunity to manage their car fleets flexibly. The service will give companies flexible access to over 40 Hyundai car models on the platform.
Hyundai’s new platform for the German market, powered by Casi, has been designed to cater to all businesses but is, in particular, focused towards German SMEs, where owning a large fleet of cars can be challenging, both in financial terms and with business needs changing rapidly. Managing their entire fleet through the MOCEAN platform, built by Casi, will allow businesses to manage their fleets, adding and removing cars based on their current needs. The service will also cater to freelancers whose needs for car access fluctuate over time depending on their workflow.
Germany has a strong demand for flexible mobility solutions, particularly in the evolving landscape of electric vehicles. The German car subscription market is expected to expand at a CAGR of 33.5% until 2030. Germany has a diverse consumer base and many businesses that are increasingly looking for more sustainable and adaptable fleet solutions.
By utilizing Casi’s flexible fleet platform and B2B and B2C solutions, Hyundai Connect Mobility can capitalize on Germany's significant corporate fleet segment while also addressing the private consumer market. Subscription models are pivotal in enticing new customers beyond conventional ownership, enabling users to explore an extensive lineup of award-winning electrified and hybrid vehicles.
“We are truly honored to work alongside the innovative team at Hyundai Connected Mobility. Their forward-thinking approach to mobility, combined with their commitment to offering flexible and sustainable solutions, aligns perfectly with our mission at Casi. Together, we’re not only scaling MOCEAN Subscription into new markets but also redefining what mobility can look like in the future. It’s a privilege to support Hyundai in bringing their visionary services to consumers and businesses across Europe,” says Hans Kristian Aas, CEO and Co-founder of Casi.
Casi’s flexible fleet platform allows companies using Hyundai’s MOCEAN service to easily scale their fleets based on current needs, providing real-time visibility into vehicle usage, maintenance, and cost management. By offering businesses a subscription-based model, MOCEAN is tapping into a growing demand for more adaptable mobility solutions, which reduce long-term commitments and upfront costs and, in turn, the business risks involved in managing a fleet of corporate vehicles.
Hyundai has tailored the MOCEAN Subscription to provide customers with swift and flexible access to cars via a seamless digital user experience, eliminating paperwork. Cars on subscription include essential elements such as scheduled maintenance, service, roadside assistance, and full and comprehensive insurance, ensuring a safe and comfortable driving experience.
“At MOCEAN Subscription, we’re transforming how customers can experience mobility. By offering flexible and intuitive solutions, we’re simplifying the customer journey and making it easier for people to access the vehicles they need, when they need them,” says Liran Golan, Director of Mobility Services at Hyundai Connected Mobility.
Hyundai and Casi will continue to work together to scale the subscription service to new European markets in the coming months.
